Episode I

Snapped introduces Anjelicka, the earliest remembered version of Angie Maxx, during her District 6 era in Lorna.

The episode moves through sexuality, altered perception, vulnerability, violence, and transformation as Anjelicka begins shifting toward the woman she will become. What starts in a more intimate and psychedelic space grows increasingly dark, eventually reaching the early acts of violence that fundamentally change her relationship with her own power.

Archive Notes

Snapped contains some of the oldest surviving Angie Maxx footage, including the original red Jell-O performance, the infamous shower sequence, and the later violent bath shoot. These performances were originally created separately before being recognized as different moments belonging to the same developing character.

Additional material was incorporated as the District 6 narrative developed, including the hotel sequence, which was filmed later and placed into the episode to expand Angie’s early story.

Some experimental and transitional material also remains in the original cut. A future remaster may tighten the episode while preserving the sequences that became foundational to Angie and X-Hale.
