THE MAXX EXPERIENCE

The Original Filmed World Behind X-Hale

Before the X-Hale Chronicles reached the page, there was The Maxx Experience.

Born through live and filmed cosplay, the series followed Angie Maxx and an expanding cast of characters through interconnected stories, music, and experimental filmmaking. Created across roughly four years, the surviving archive contains around ten hours of material and documents the era in which the world that became X-Hale first took shape.

The Original Archive

The Maxx Experience was filmed entirely on mobile phones of varying generations and quality. No AI was used to generate character likenesses or original footage. Costumes, makeup, performances, and environments were filmed organically, with visual effects and transformations generally added in post-production.

The series was also a learning process. Early episodes feature heavier, busier effects influenced by 1990s music-video aesthetics, while later episodes reflect an evolving and more refined editing style.

The original chapter-based releases are preserved here for now. A future PC remaster is planned, with the possibility of restoring and combining chapters into complete episodes.

A Note for Chronicle Readers

Watch closely.

Many characters, symbols, phrases, objects, story threads, and other details hidden throughout The Maxx Experience survived into the X-Hale Chronicles.

Some connections are obvious. Others may not reveal their significance until much later.

What looks like a small detail here may not be small at all.
